Areas of Specialization: Since receiving my Masters Degree in Counseling in 1974, I have provided counseling and other clinical services to people in a wide variety of settings, including primary healthcare, in-home, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and outpatient counseling centers to individuals, couples, families, and groups. My areas of specialization include depression, anxiety and panic, adjustment, anger management, abuse, grief and loss, stress management, relationships, chronic illness, mental illness, and sexual addiction. View of Therapy: We all experience problems and difficulties in our lives. Sometimes though, these problems become troublesome to the point that we seek out professional counseling. Recognizing that there is a problem is the first step toward finding a solution. My general approach to counseling involves using people’s already existing strengths and abilities in conjunction with counseling theories, techniques, and biblical principles to work toward finding effective solutions to problems. These solutions, then, lead to improved functioning in daily life. I am a Christian, but will allow you to determine how spirituality and faith is used in your counseling. I will strive to be “professionally human” as we work together to set realistic goals to help you obtain what you would like to get from your counseling work. Locations Served:
